I am a bad person. Seriously, that’s like the most anticlimactic milestone in comic history.
Still, I hope you guys enjoyed it. I’ve had this strip in mind for ages, and about two weeks ago I realized that it would probably end up being strip #100. I thought about switching things up so I could have a cool, epic, monumental comic for the 100th page, but I decided that forcing that sort of thing would be cheesy. I think this works. For comic #50 we had a big plot moving forward heroic team shot page. This works as a nice counter balance to that: a quiet, silly slice of life sort of comic.

Seriously, look at that thing. That is insane. And awesome. Her own comic doesn’t even look that good, and her comic looks great! Now I have to spend that much more effort making my comic look awesome just so she doesn’t put me to shame on my own series. Stupid archnemesis, knocking me out of my complacency! Jerkface.
I’m still waiting on the final piece of guest art *cough, cough*, so expect me to post it here once it’s finally finished. *ahem*

On a related front, expect a bit of art experimentation on my end in the next few weeks. I really liked the way Eva’s Tale looked, and I’m toying around with ways to make the comic look even better. Already today, the line art is a bit sketchier and the colors are a bit more textured. I’m sure I’ll settle on a process I like soon enough, but in the meantime I’ll be playing around a bit.

Congrats on a year, here’s to many more! I wish I could make the party, but that’s a good 10-12 hour drive for me and my car has trouble getting from one end of town to the other. Not to mention I don’t know anything about St. Louis.
