So, we’re back in business.  I figured I’d take a moment to ramble about some stuff.

First up, everyone welcome Larry “Syhd” Wentzel to the operation here.  I’ve brought Larry on as the Official Executive Assistant Guy.  Larry’s exciting duties include stuff like “Bug Shawn to schedule time to make comics” “Official proofreader guy” “bounce plot ideas off of guy” and more.  I suppose he’s something like the Editor around here now.

Second, as you may have heard, I’ll be at SteamCon in Seattle from November 19th to the 21st!  I’ll be running tabletop games of Clockworks around noon on Friday and Sunday, as well as a big Clockworks LARP on Friday night.  I’ll also be in the Webcomics panel Friday afternoon along with David Malki (zomghfsb!) as well as the Everyday Steampunk panel on Saturday, were I’ll be dispensing such wisdom like “move in to a crappy old house” or “buy a vest”.  Friday night’s LARP will be set in the Free Islands, and costumes are encouraged.  (I chose the Free Islands because the style of clothes there fit in more with this year’s Weird West theme, so people could just show up and play rugged explorers or saloon girls or what have you.)

I’d love to meet any of you who are coming out.  Play some Clockworks or just say hi and give me crap for taking 4 months off or try to get me to tell you spoilers. (I won’t.)

I will also have a satchel of stuff to barter all weekend, from prints to original Clockworks line art to sketches.  I will accept trades of art, cool stuff you’ve made, beer, or cash.  No prices are set, will consider any offers.  I’d really prefer to get this stuff in to the hands of fans of the comic or people I’m friends with on the Twitters and Facebooks that I don’t get to see in person.

I’ll have more info about SteamCon as it gets closer.  This is my first time travelling across the country to go to a Con, and I’m pretty damned exciting.
