Man. That one took a while. First there was a delay from the holiday weekend and doing the final work for Streets of Bedlam. And then I passed out for a solid 13 hours yesterday, as I was apparently desperately in need of catching up on sleep. And then I redrew panel 5 up there. Oh and this is the rare 7 panel page, which added a bit of time.
But anyway, it’s finished now and I for one am pretty happy with it.
Sadly, since this one’s going up on Friday morning, I will not finish a second comic this week. Hopefully the next page will be up as early as Monday, at the latest Tuesday. I’m excited to draw the Oliver/Salvaro face off.

Also, you guys! Streets of Bedlam comes out on Wednesday! I can’t wait, it’s going to be awesome. A whole 240+ page RPG setting, illustrated entirely by yours truly and written by Jason “Little Fears” Blair. Even better, it’s for Savage Worlds which is the same system Clockworks the Home Game used. I think you’ll all dig it.

Have a great weekend, see you in a few days!

Thorton’s line in panel 1 certainly brought forth a chuckle from me.
Well done!
Oh! I totally forgot! I meant to thank Kat, aka Eva’s player in the original game, for her help with that line!
I wanted something along the lines of “How you like them apples?” but a bit more antiquated. I asked on Twitter for suggestions, and Kat suggested “Put that in your pipe and smoke it.”, which really is perfect.
So thanks Kat, you are awesome.
I highly suggest you imagine dramatic music playing during the last two panels.
Salvaro!
Tweaky Bastard
And another bad guy’s about the bite the dust.
This guy is too awesome to die, I can tell…
He’s pretty bad ass.
Also, in case anyone’s forgotten, Salvaro has shown up a few times now, first during Oliver’s solo adventure spying on Lukov’s gang, then during the Lukov/Autso comic, then again when our heroes were talking to the Little San Khotal guards, and recently in the big group shot of Lukov’s gang ambushing our heroes. This is only his second line of dialogue though, unless I missed one.
He’s also had the long running nickname of Cosplay Man, because look at him.
Yeah, Salvaro’s pretty damn cool.
man, i love this comic more than words can tell!
Thornton, how did you get to be so freaking cool!?!
…one, this will be awesome.
Two, is it just me, or is Thorton kinda scary? I know he HATES Lukov more than anything, and today is sort of his birthday, but it’s rather disturbing to see his natural enthusiasm directed toward shooting people in the face. That smile is…again, disturbing. I’m not sure if I’m glad I can’t see his eyes. But it may just be me. (shrug)
This reaction right after Xaviera’s amuses me. I’ll keep quiet about the whole thing for now, but I’d love to see more reactions from you guys about Thorton in this chapter, especially once it’s done. But feel free to chime in now with thoughts/psychoanalysis before then.
Considering Thorton’s backstory and how long and frustrating his pursuit of Lukov has been, it makes complete sense for him to be ecstatic. It’s probably the best present he’s had in years.
“What would you like for your birthday, Thorton?”
“I’d like Lukov blinded and in pain!”
“Uh-”
“This is going to be the best birthday ever!”
Yeah… normal, but still slightly scary.
I don’t know…seemed to me that Lukov was just reaping what he sowed. He’s a brutal killer. Seemed like justice, I guess, so I really didn’t take Toby’s reaction as being too over the top.
(Creeper face) Thorton.
(not angry, just obsessive)
Ha!
I find the thoughts and comments on Thorton to be interesting
I should have said this in the comment before: Oliver: unamused.
I like how Oliver just lets Thorton go right by. Doesn’t even turn. Also, just gonna suggest something: Oliver is going to win.
Just saying.
