Did I mention a few weeks back that the comic was about to get really dark for a while? Well, between this and what’s going on across the battlefield we are there. Don’t worry, the comic will one day return to jokes and jaunty adventures. There just might be a death or two between now and then.

In cheerier news, work continues rapidly on Clockworks the RPG setting book! The book is over 1/3 of the way written! You can now make characters and know the special rules to play them. You just can’t build weird science devices yet or use the full rules for magic, and I haven’t fully detailed the world or given you adventures to run yet, but we’re on our way!
Once the manuscript is done, expect the Kickstarter to pay editors and more artists and compile the whole thing and print it and sell it and whatnot. I’m shooting for around the new year.

Oh! I vas thinking this through earlier, now I just gotta remember.
If Eva does get the powers, she’ll be able to heal her friends, but she won’t have been able to save her friend without the powers, which she could never had had, but knowing heroes, she’ll still feel guilty and frustrated about it later. And if Ophelia does recover, she’ll probably be too weak to keep her friends from dieing, so they’d probably be better off with her dead. (tears out hair) HATE. EVERYTHING.
Ya know, when I first started thinking about what would happen when the gang captured Lukov, I thought, “This could be tricky, seeing as how they’re (supposedly) the heroes, and Lukov may not cooperate (Last laugh), so they might have to torture him (what a shame). NOW, I don’t think they;ll have any problems at all…Although with their diplomat in the state she’s in, I really think that for now, they should just drop any pretense of the non-existent civility they have not been using, and just start lopping heads off.

While I’m a little torn up about Ophelia, she’s no Oliver. Though this whole wight thing threw me for a loop. The inherent magic in mages doesn’t die with them? They turn into these magic throwing undead wights? That’s pretty dark and cool at the same time. What about animals that are born with a spark of enchantment or magic? Maybe that’s where all these monsters in irone are coming from…warped undead animal wights essentially. Very interesting.
