First up, I’m incredibly happy with the reception to the first comic. It’s always exciting and scary to share your creation with the world, and the fact you guys are along for the ride already is very rewarding.
In response to a couple of questions, I’ve added a Gamer Geekery page to the top navigation. Basically, Clockworks the comic is based on events in Clockworks the tabletop roleplaying campaign. So if our heroes ever crash and burn and fail miserably, you can blame the players.
I’m not planning on really getting in to typical gamer webcomic humor, as I think that’s ground that has been covered much better than I could.
I do have a question for you guys: if I post updates fleshing out the world of Clockworks beyond what you’ll see in the comic, would you prefer to see those here or the main Shawntionary.com blog?
On one hand, I like the idea of having everything in one place, on the other I dislike the idea of having posts here that don’t have comics attached. I want to hear what you guys think.
See you on Tuesday, for the thrilling third part of our adventure!
EDIT: Booo, I won’t be posting blogs here detailing the world of Clockworks, unless I post them on Tuesday and Thursday with the comic. I just did a test, posting an overview of the Great Republic, and it was as I worried: if I post a blog without a comic attached, it shows up at the top of the front page, and takes a place in the archives. So if you were clicking through the comics, you’d come to an entry with no comic talking all about the Great Republic or whatever. That’s definitely not what I want.
For now I’ll just post stuff attached to the Tuesday and Thursday comics, and I’ll look in to a fix, but no promises.
Apologies if your RSS feed popped up and you came running looking for the now deleted post.

G’day Shawn,
In response to your question, I would be happy to have everything realitng to this comic on this site/feed.
Thanks mate,
I look forward to the new comic.
D!
I agree that I would prefer to see everything related to the comic on the same url.
Looking good, nice style! I agree to having it kept to one site, so I can easily keep track of everything Clockworks-related.
I like that the tags for this one are ting! and kathunk kunk! The title text was a nice touch as well.
I’d be happy with seeing everything here.
Sounds like the people have spoken. Expect a post here tomorrow.
Another question to you the loyal reader: the flow of dialogue in panel 2, confusing or easy to follow? Looking at it now I really think I should have gone for three panels today.
Random Self Analysis:
All in all, I’m less thrilled with the second comic than I was the first. But I do think it does a decent job of showing a bit of the characters’ personalities. The Tings make me happy as well.
Posts here are better for anyone bookmarking this specific page or subscribing via RSS.
Yes but everyone should ALSO bookmark my blog and follow it’s RSS feed. Clearly!
Don’t worry, all Clockworks related worldbuilding posts will go here, unless wordpress somehow screws up the archive of the comics if I do that.
it must be nice to work with your own intellectual property, as opposed to having someone else write, and you having to draw it. A partnership of one is a lot easier to follow through on.
I think having them here is better. But that’s just my 2c.
