First up: the Top Webcomic rankings have reset for December. Last month Clockworks hit about 80th after the first week, then dropped a bit every weekend. Stupid MWF comics! Anyway, we ended the month at the 123rd most popular comic on the site. Not too shabby. My only goal for this month is to end December somewhere higher than that.
So please, go vote! You can vote every day, and the site really did bring a number of new readers to this comic. So this isn’t just about climbing the charts and stroking my ego, it’s about bringing more fans to the comic you guys already enjoy.

In order to accommodate today’s Wall of Text, I shrunk the font one size, from 12 pt to 11. Let me know if this made the comic harder to read. If it does, I’ll go back to normal on Thursday’s comic. If it does not, I think I’ll switch to the slightly smaller font permanently, to clear up a bit of room for more words and to see the art better.

Astute readers will notice that Eva, Thorton, and the giant fish tank should be in the background of panel 5, based on the perspective the “camera” is at. I decided they’d just clutter things up, and left them out. We can assume the two of them are walking around, maybe getting more tea. And, um, they took the aquarium with them…

Today is International Hug a Redhead Day. Please partake, especially if you’re in Austin and can give a hug to everyone’s favorite Clockworks reading, livestream chatting redhead.

That’s about it for today, see you all on Thursday, where something happens!

The font honestly looks fine! Great comic today!
Cool. Also, when is your recap of Sunday’s game going to go live? I’m excited to see how things went.
Font looks fine, maybe better than the previous one?
Keep up the good work, I want to see where this goes
In agreement, font size is pretty good.
And voted.
voted too \m/
I wouldn’t have even noticed the smaller font if you hadn’t brought it up.
Then again, I do have a big monitor.
Is it just me, or does the poncy bastard look a bit like Voltaire?
Ha! You know, it wasn’t intentional but you have a point.
I thought the background people and items didn’t show up because I had to ratchet the environmental distance slider to its lowest settings. Oh wait, this isn’t Warcraft…
Agreed, wouldn’t known the difference in font size… Poncy basard… Ha!
By the way, how does someone: “transfer her/his powers”?
I was wondering when someone would catch that. Write up on magic coming soon.
The Pouncy guy has a goatee. If you follow Darth & Droids, you’d know that it means he’s a bad guy!
Actually, I was wondering how you transfer powers as well. Hmm, a special Edge?
Also curious to know about the “transfer of powers” bit.
Font size is fine! (It’s bigger/easier to read than the font here in the blog and comments that I make sure to use my bifocals for…)
The poncy bastard looks an awful lot like one of my friends. To a T.
Wow when that dude is soo old he can’t even remember where he left his daughter, he has no hope of keeping hold of the black thing. ;P, also I’ not sure if you’ve covered this but are we meant to assume that the Paravians are big corporate legal-but-abusive types or is it a race?
Nationality. Paravo is a tiny island nation to the west of the Great Republic The entire island is at this point covered by the city of Paravo. I have some info typed up somewhere, which I’ll find and post on the wiki. We’ll see more of Paravo and it’s people in the comic eventually.
1. Font is awesome. For the reasons you stated above, you might as well just keep the 11 pt size and let us see some more awesome art.
2. Love the details of Gramps’ quick fix on his glasses in panel 2 here. White tape on white tape.
3. I’m betting 5 to 1 that the poncy bastard IS our MV#2/pyro-guy. How do I know? The gloves…and also that ridiculous-yet-awesome goatee. My question now is “Is MV#2 WORKING for MV#1/robo-arm? That, I think is even more important: what is the connection between these two?
4. Transference of magical abilities based on some etheric formula for ether expelled versus ether accepted? Or perhaps something entirely different?
1. Font size is fine.
2. I voted.
3. “Transfer of powers”. I want to know more.
4. Keep up the good work.
I’m sadly spoiled since I know how this all works. I envy those who are taking this journey through story for the first time.
And very good comic, Shawn. You keep getting better and better.
I envy you for knowing more!
The question I have is. . .why did the big orange galoot, hero to millions, call the Garith grandfather?
1 Font is fine, you had alot of chat there but it fits great, well done.
2 I been voting often, not every single day but I hit about 75%. Voting’s a good way to show your appreciation and yeah, you can get some traffic from it, especially if you get into the top 100. So let’s all hammer down and keep ya up there.
3 I totally forgot what three was.
4 Someone bring me a redhead, quick.
@ the Occupant
Are you referring to Toby?
@Victor
Yes, Toby. Sorry, I have a bad head for names.
