Hey gang! Here’s some random stuff!
I spent the weekend making not one, but two comics! One will debut bright and early Tuesday morning. The other I will sit on until I have a busy week with work or fall ill or hungover or whatever. So yay, that’s almost like having a buffer.
I also posted previews of the filler comic and other Clockworks stuff over on Tumblr. Check it out.
St. Louis peoples and those within driving distance: Saturday, June 26th will be the Clockworks One Year Anniversary Party and Art Show! The party will be from 3 to 8 at the Crack Fox, 1114 Olive. Not the most traditional venue for an art show, but the perfect venue for a party. I’ll have art prints, enlarged comics, and original line art on the walls, we’ll be rocking some steampunk music, there will be a cash bar and free food, all for the low, low price of free! If you can make it out, it would really mean a lot to me to mark the first year of the comic with friends and fans.
(If you’d like to bring presents, I will request Sharpie Markers, preferably Extra Fine or Sharpie Pens.)
Speaking of anniversary week, a few weeks ago I sent the word out to artists who are awesome and/or good people to draw anything they wanted to that’s Clockworks related. The first two pieces of clockworks pinup/guest art/whatever are in, and I think you guys are really going to be impressed. A tiny sneak peak is above. In addition to guest art (hopefully every day next week), there will be a super awesome guest blog post by the inimitable Chuck Wendig, and I’m shooting to have 3 comics done next week, so we can end the week with comic #100.
After that, I will probably pass out. Good thing I have a super cool “Meanwhile…” page on reserve that I can drop in at any point.
Oh! Today is International Steampunk Day! You know what I think would be the ideal way to celebrate? Voting for your favorite Steampunk/Fantasy webcomic, then rereading the entire archive, then telling all of your friends to check out Clockworks!
I think that about covers everything. See you guys tomorrow.
